Personalize your scrub!

Purpose of Carrier Oils

Carrier oils dilute essential oils as well as "carry" them into your skin. Applying essential oils directly to skin can be harmful for some people and have little effect on others. Choosing a carrier oil to mix into the recipe of your scrub isn't completely necessary, but I like to give people different options. However I tend to use Jojoba oil for most scrubs due to its benefits and light scent. You can personalize your scrub by letting me know in a message while placing your order. I'd rather you tell me before I start making scrubs since I make them in bulk. I have attached some benefits for both Jojoba and Coconut oil below.

Jojoba Oil

I  prefer Jojoba in my scrubs for many reasons, but the main one being it is good for ALL skin types! More benefits are listed below:

- beneficial for dry, oily and acne-prone skin

- anti-inflammatory and healing properties

- eases the effects and soothes skin conditions + diseases like eczema and psoriasis

- includes Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins which help repair skin and damage control

- reduces redness caused from dry skin

- light, airy scent

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is good for those with dry skin and people who love tropical scents. However it can be overbearing at times and may result in a headache for some. It can also drown out the initial scent of the body scrub - such as lemon. Some benefits of this oil include:

- reduces inflammation

- natural moisturizer, but may increase acne breakouts

- evens tone, fades discoloration

- rids toxins in skin

has anti-microbial properties that can treat acne and protect the skin from harmful bacteria
